Who uses a case?

I'm just wondering here, who uses a BlackBerry case?
Personally I use the slip in case that came with my Pearl, but that's because I like to have different profiles when it's in/out of the case.
I hate with a passion belt clips! and can understand those slim rubber skins, but I saw advertised the other day a sholder holster for a mobile (you know, like the kind you carry a gun in!)
Do you bother with a case? any other reason other than you're accident prone?!

I keep mine in a belt clip. Not the one you put the BB in and it goes to sleep. But one that snaps on the back. I clip in in my front shirt pocket. Without the clip the BB would hit the floor at lease 3 or 4 times a day.

I carry mine in the pouch that came with the device. Puts it to sleep and probably helps conserve some battery power, although not that much, I presume.
It appears from reading posts here, that carrying the device in your pocket tends to cause problems with the trackball. Seems dirt and lint can get caught under the ball, which can mess up the contacts and make the ball seem to be inoperable, especially in one direction. Easy enough to clear, but still annoying when things don't work as advertised.

I carry mine in the case because I normally have two phones on me, and not enough pockets.

Like Dubdub said. The small pouch that it comes with in my pocket. It puts it to sleep, protects it from dialing, lint...

I have a lovely BlackBerry Forums case by Fortte' that i keep my 8220 in. The case was designed for the Pearl, but it works just fine for the flip.

I concur. I have a BlackBerry Forums branded Fortte case. I prefer this over the OEM case that came with my 8330. I used a Fortte case for my 8830 as well. I love these cases.

I would use a case if I had a slightly more special BlackBerry however I don't. I used to use the holster on my old 7100g though because it meant I could keep it secure on my bike and use it as a timer for splits etc because I had modified the holster to fit onto the handlebars whilst being adjustable.

Here's another vote for the sleeve that came with my phone. I have used different things with my old 8100, but so far the sleeve is winning with the new 8900.

I thought I wanted a holster for my 8900, however the more I thought about it the more I realized that I would like and use a pocket sleeve more. The OEM sleeve that came with my phone has been reported to cause a battery drain and who am I kidding, I like leather anyway. Thus, after a long search on the internet I ordered the slim pocket sleeve from Beyza Cases. I was looking forward to possible delivery today, but no such luck. Here is looking to a good mail day on monday.

I love my Vaja case. It puts the phone to sleep, protects it and slips in my pocket.

I hope they decide to make that Vaja case for the 8900. When they do I will be first in line (even with their price ).

I'm using the Fortte case that came with my Rogers-branded Bold. It's a slip-in sleeve with a lip at the top to keep it securely inside. It's a pain to get our unless I remember to put it in with the Fortte logo to the screen side ("Blackberry" logo to the back), but it's a great case. And the price was right too!

I use a RIM case, not the one that came with the device, a nicer one. I keep my BB in my handbag along with keys for home, office, car, hairbrush, nail file and several other things that would happily destroy or damage BB.
