Is there a way to shut this option off? When I receive yahoo or gmail emails on my BB 8900 they also show up on my text message list. Is there a way so that emails only show up in the inbox in which they were received and not in my text message inbox? Thanks in advance all!
You can separate the text messages from the emails by going to Messages > Options > General Options and set the Email and SMS Inboxes setting to Separate.
Yes, your theme may be the culprit. You should have a messages folder containing ALL messages received (text, e-mail, IM, etc.). Then, a seperate folder for each address; some themes may not show all folders.
If you didn't have your mail and SMS messages separated prior to the suggestion to do so here, and yet your mail and SMS were showing in the same folder, and now continue to do so, then you are likely looking in the "all messages" folder, and not your text message folder.
With mail and SMS set to separate folders, you will see an "all message" folder, an SMS folder, and a folder for each email account you may have on the device.

Thank you CO_BB, the 8900 is my first BlackBerry and I was following this thread for the same reason as the OP. I will now just hide my "all message" folder leaving my email acount folders and the SMS folder.
