HI there/
I am a BB fanatic and love it however I am with o2 in the UK and have a BB Curve 8300, which is not longer sold so Monday they are giving me a replacement 8310 as I have a fault with mine.
Question is how do I load everything onto my mnew device. I am syncing with outlook on kmy PC and have a cradel etc just want it to be an easy crossover onto new 8310?
Thanks for your learned advise in advnace.

You can use the switch device wizard from within Desktop Manager and it will move your apps/settings/PIM data over to the new device.

Your best bet on the Bold questions is to search BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community - Search Forums and look here General 9000 Series Discussion - Bold - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community

Wirelessly posted

Hi & welcome to BBF

No confirmation from o2 on the Bold as yet, some people have been told August and elsewhere I saw an unconfirmed post that said o2 wasn't getting it at all.

It would surprise me if they didn't get it. They told me themselves that the Bold was 'not currently in their warehouse'.

Time will tell I guess.

Ohh man. I need your help asap please.
I had a little play with my bb in the cradel and clicked on the switch Device Wizard and just wanted to sdee what was going on for when I get my new 8310 tomorrow. However I clicked next option which was SWITCH BLACKBERRY Devices then next and then it came up with the port it was connected on and pressed next and it loads up a little thing mentioning JAVA reading application so I hit CLOSE.
Ever since then it will not kert me get my emails on the bb. It only dipslys gprs on the phone and my emails has stopped working. Any helps as to why this heppeded?
Also would it be possible to do a hard reset on the blackberry and start from stratch with using outllook?
Please advise asap. thanks in advnace.

OK here goes, So today I get my new blackberry 8310 curve.
I charge it up then follow the instructions online for SWITCH DEVICE WIZARD..but it took ages for the 8310 to respond to my rollerball, it is jumpy and so slow so I took out the battery and poped it back in and now it just shows thre hourglass for what has been now for 5 mins non stop! I have gone back to my old 8300!!!
Upon saying that It has now gone as we speak o9nto the home screen and loks ok? I will give it a try and see how it looks now.
Can yiu run 2 x same blackberrys one the one ouitlook system?
Thanks,
Marty

Marty, yes you can run two BBs on one Outlook sync.

Wipe the BB per these instructions: How to wipe the OS from a BlackBerry device? - BlackBerryFAQ
That ^^ will not wipe the OS, only the data, personal settings, etc.

thank yu so much.
OK, I have completely cleaned the 8310. So at present am back to the beginning.
So I should NOT put my sim card into the new 8310 and yes start with my 8300 in cradel and follow the instructions for the switch device wizard and follw the prompts?
I am wondering also will I have to go onto my o2email bb account in sky and add the new IN for the 8310 so I can get my emails sent to it? After trying it yesterday it did as I mentioned have a problem with the really slow to respond rollerballl and the emails did not work so I am thinking I may have to add the 8310 PIN to my email activation account in the sky?
Thanks for your learned help.

Just been onto my account with o2 bbb and it says: Add new device.so it has my current 8300 pin no in the box so I guess if I put the 8310 new pin in the box then it will accept it and start sending emails as per normasl to my new 8310.
ONLY thing is that means I cannot run the old and new as the same time getting emails sent to both bb's. Not that you would want it to??
