Default GPS and MP3 via the headphone jack, cant make phonecalls via bluetooth

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, Newbie on the forum.

I have connected my blackberry via the headphone jack (using a mini to mini auxilary cable) to the aux input of my car stereo. This enables me to listen to MP3 and at the same time get GPS navigation instructions through the car stereo (it's awesome)

However by using the headphone jack, the blackberry thinks I am using a wired headphone and bypasses my bluetooth connection to my car, so I am not able to make calls.

The bluetooth connection is still "live" but there is no audio going back and forth until I unplug the headphone jack.

Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

Thanks for any advice

Default

ok found the solution:
1) Buy a bluetooth music gateway (blackberry has one for $60)
2) Plug it into the aux jack of the car deck (it comes with RCA as well as mini jack)
3) Pair it up with the blackberry and now you can play music, have gps with voice navigation (i use nav4all) and ability to make/answer via BT headphone or in my case via the BT in the car all via one device.
