Default Using the TreeField to list all the directories

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to J2ME and Blackberry programming.

Could someone give me a quickstart to using the treefield class (found in net.rim.device.api.ui.component.treefield) to list the root directory of my blackberry and all of the subdirectories.

I can't find any information on the directories/folders/file system of my blackberry.

I have a 7520...if that makes a difference.

There are no directories and subdirectories on the BlackBerry.

It uses a persistent object model to store data.

Did a web search on persisent object model and went here first:

http://www.blackberry.com/developers...pt13#the_facts

Also, found this example tutoral:
http://www.blackberry.com/developers...tentdata.shtml

Here is a question that I have for the group:
On my 7250 Blackberry when I click on an email, a menu appears that has "OPEN" at the top. The second choice is to "FILE" the email. When you click FILE it has the same tree directory system that is in the files area of my MSOutlook. On mine I have INBOX, JUNK, DELETE, SENT and aFolder. In Outlook I set up aFolder so that it has 10 differnt subFolders where I store emails by fellow employee that I want to keep temporarily.

My Blackberry shows this File system but you can't move or file an email here. How was this suppose to work? Is there a way that I can write a Java App that will move my emails or let me open a subfolder in aFolder to view what emails are in there?

Default Also found this in Blackberry Development Environment (Vol 2)

Message storage

The Folder class represents a local mailbox folder. Several folder types are defined, including INBOX, OUTBOX, SENT, and OTHER. You can use these folder types to retrieve folders for retrieving or saving messages.
The Store class models the underlying message storage and provides methods for finding and retrieving folders. Folders exist in a hierarchy, as the following example demonstrates:
Mailbox - Ming Li
Inbox
Projects
In Progress
Complete
Personal

A standard delimiter character separates each folder in the hierarchy, which you can retrieve using getSeparator(). You can list all the folders in a Store object, list the subfolders in a folder, or find a folder based on a search string.
The Folder class defines methods for retrieving messages or subfolders, saving messages, and deleting messages.
