Default BES not forwarding external emails

Please Login to Remove!

Our BES keeps throwing up these warnings in the application log of the event viewer.

Event ID: 20455.

MAPIMailbox: CheckUserOriginatedItem - OpenEntry(0x80004005)failed, Refld=-941213475,MsgFolderId=-2740,FolderId=-1009

Now this is impacting on her ability to receive any external emails to her handheld, she can receive internal emails fine.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums!

Is the BES having any problems communicating with Exchange? Have you ever had any problems previously?

No, as I said it only seems to be having problems forwarding External Emails that the user has recieved, she can recieve internal Emails fine. It only seems to be happening to this specific account as well.

A message is a message is a message ... whether it comes from internal or external to your organization. Are all messages reaching the persons inbox on the server? Check through OWA and not Outlook.

Problem solved, clearly there where some mapi issues, I resolved the problem by wiping the handheld, then deleting the user from the BES and then I ran the handheld cleanup utility. Running the handheld cleanup utility was the deciding factor, as I had not tried this before.

Not to sure why though, I know the problem is solved but if any one could shed any light on this to why it would of happened in the first place I would be very grateful.

P.S. Thanks for trying to help hdawg, much appreciated.
