Exclamation EA Annoyance not has much as a problem

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a BES ADMIN and what my annoyance (which just started to occur a few days ago) is that recently when I set BB device's for Wireless EA it kicks off and seems to stop after sync calandar has completed and just sits at :
synchronizing service desktop ----

I might point out that at this point the device is capable of sending and receiving emails it just never reaches "Activation Completed" and it in short is ticking me off.

I have my "work arounds" but would like to find the cause of the issue so ANY THOUGHTS peoples?

Should note we use 4 different carriers and so far I have only notice this on AT&T devices but thats a 85-90% of my devices

I would suggest reading through all of the KB articles mentioned here:

The top 2 do not apply to my environment.

the other link is stuff I already know however I think I may have found the answer to my own complex issue it seems all the devices experiencing this issue all reside on the same BES (being we have 5) so I need to isolate the service that the devices aren't able to connect to and "kick" them (restart)

Now on to find the needle in the hay stack

What about checking the MAGT logs, that should provide some more info as to why EA sticks for certain users. Does it stop at 11%? If so, do you see an error referencing createPIMFolder failed in the event viewer? That might be your issue as well. The logs will probably be your best bet at this point.

No Errors

Doesn't even reach Percentage just completes Calandar sync and stops..
I found a service on the 1 BES Server that seems to be starting and stopping itself at random
"BlackBerry SyncServer"

I'm going to try and delete this service and recreate it from its fail over and then reintialize all of the services and see what happens.

I would check few things -
- Synchronization should be running.
- MSXML Version Read KB10798.
- Check the Disable Wireless Bulk Load IT Policy KB03947

See if this helps. Else can you post excerpts from your Sync Log files and MAGT log files.
