Default calendar sync fromm BB to BESserver

Please Login to Remove!

Dear all,

We use BES 4.0.7.8 with Exchange 2003 SP2. I have checked cdo.dll version is the same on the BES server and Exchange

Our problem,, two people complains that the BB does not sync calendar entries made on the BB to Outlook. From Outlook to BB it works.

Other BB on the same server works perfectly. I also see sporactically on the BES server calhelper.exe use 100% of the processor.

Any clue what I can do to fix the problem with calendar sync. I have read an advice here to delete and resend a service book. Not sure this is applicable here.

Thank you very much in advance
Edy

What is different about these users? Are they on a different mailbox store or Exchange server? How large is their mailbox?

All users are on the same mailbox store. Mailbox size are about 300 - 500 MB. There is no difference in regards to Exchange.

In the application log I see this warning for a user in question
<<<
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: BlackBerry Messaging Agent BMZURNT003 Agent 1
Event Category: None
Event ID: 20000
Date: 18.04.2008
Time: 11:17:06
User: N/A
Computer: BESSERVER
Description:
{user@server.com} GetRIMMeetingResp Failed for LongTermEntryId=1048957 in LaunchCalHelperAndGetResults
<<<
Event Type: Warning

Computer: BESSERVER
Description:
{user@emailserver.com} CDOCalendar::~CDOCalendar() - Exception handled.
<<<

The last entry I get a lot for nearly every user, where I know calendar works. But the first one can be a hint. BB KB was not very helpful. It has nothing to do with invitation. Interesting when the user disable in calender options wireless sync I do not see disabled on the BB server. Maybe this might be a hint.

Thank you
Edy
