Default Easiest Way to transfer to a new 8330?

Please Login to Remove!

My 8330 broke (well, I dropped it). It's still functional but needs replacement. My brother is giving me his (like new!). What's the easiest way to transfer everything over? I see threads that Desktop manager does a so-so job (not all application settings transfer, etc). Is there a better tool? Some people mention BB Protect. I mean, there should be a way to do a low-level copy of everything and then just change the registration codes.

Thanks!

Same model, same OS version, desktop manager switch device wizard should set you up almost exactly the way you were. Back up paid apps obtained from a source other than app world if necessary, just in case.

When I tried that for a warranty replacement a couple of years ago a lot of my settings (like for BB Alerts) didn't transfer, or partially transferred. There's really nothing better?
