Default 8120 web browser help please?

hello to you all,
now i have just bought a 8120 off ebay and done the reset etc have managed to get her wifi on and bits and pieces but noticed no web browser icon.
i looked it up and tried all that i have found so far the battery out etc
have been to themes and done default settings
done the host routing table ,there were loads entries in there unsure if meant to be but anyway registered and got message back saying blackberry registration now registered with the wireless network
service books been in there again loads in there majority ticked
browser in menu went in there c;licked it states default browser configuration:
then blank pressed enter nothing happens
some where along line did get box come up saying something like no service book received contact network ?
can anyone help please?

also just checked via connections service status says
voice services availiabl
connection: mobile
network
blackberry internet service connection: wifi

In order to use the BlackBerry Browser you must have a BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account...

It also probably shows edge and not EDGE in the upper right hand corner.

hi thanks so far on top right of screen it shows EDGE
we did contact o2 a couple days ago and changed her tarrif to include blackberry data etc

Try a battery pull and resend service books.
