BB Messenger Problems

I've had my Pearl with Alltel for about a year. I have used BB Messenger frequently with no problems.
However, I just started working with a new company, and they added IT security policy settings on my Pearl. Besides making it extremely slow, now my BB messenger screws up. I can be texting someone, and all of a sudden they don't get delivered. I pull my battery, and when i go back into BB messenger, it says I have switched devices and need to notify my contacts.
Is there a way to fix this? I end up having to pull the battery almost every day.
I think before they stop sending it usually says "policy settings have changed". Thanks so much!
