Default Brand New Quick Question Need a Quick Answer please!

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all! I just got my first 7290 yesterday and love it.
I used it since i got it and drained the battery down (its now at 0%) and im planning to charge it all night and then drain it down again, to train it.
Anyway, the quick start book says to charge it you plug the USB into the adapter on the plug that goes into the outlet, but when I plug the blackberry in, I don't see a message that says charging, and I dont see a different LED light flashing on the top. I turned the Blackberry off, but left it plugged in, and the LED at hte top is slowly blinking red once at a time.

What am I looking for to be sure that it is charging as I need it tomororw?

Thanks so MUCH for any quick help!!

Sam

There is suppose to be a lightning bolt on the battery symbol while the BB is charging.

And I don't think you need to "train" the battery either. These new lithium batteries don't really need it.

Batteries are like dogs, one does not train the battery; one trains the owner!

Sam

you are looking for a lightening icon which will be in red next to the battery scale on the lift side of the screen, it doesn't flash and stays on constantly whilst the unit is charging. you would be better charging from the mains if you can.

Hope this helps

Silly question but did you installed the drivers for your device, this might explain if its not working?

If the device is off completely, then all you would get is the flashing red light to indicate charging, you wouldn't see the lightning bolt icon.
