BlackBerry Connect Still Available?
Please Login to Remove!
Hi,
Just wondering if it is still possible to buy non-phones that can use BlackBerry connect? It seems like that is fading. My Nokia E61i had it, but the upgrade from that, the E71, does not have it. That is why I went for the Bold. Very glad about that now, but just wondering.
Thanks.

Yes it's still available. My operator (Orange Romania) offers BlackBerry Connect on a large number of devices besides BBs. One of them is the Nokia E51, which I sometimes use when I get tired of the size of my Bold.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000 Bold)
Indeed. That's because Nokia have developed their own push email system, called Nokia email, an alternative for BIS, and they want to encourage the use of that.

I just tried a Motorola Q9h from AT&T that loaded BlackBerry Connect OTA. The BB Connect worked great. Even supported my company's BES policies.
Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the Moto Q. I averaged taking the battery out every other day when it froze.
I gave it back to AT&T on the 29th day.

Yes it does crown. My friend just have a nokia e70 and used in UK. He's got no problem with that. Unfortunately I don't have a URL with me. Perhaps I can ask him later on where to find the software you need.

Did anyone test Nokia's own push service? Does it really work that well?
Why wouldn't microsoft come up with their own Push service for WM devices!?
