hey i've been having a problem with my blackberry.....im new to this forum so bear with me if i have posted in the wrong place.

the wrench icon on my BB9700 is missing....i've reset my theme settings and selected 'Show All' in the home screen but i still cannot find the wrench icon.... i also pulled out the battery to see if that would work but it didn't....i really hope someone can help me!!! thanks

What do you mean by "reset my theme settings"?

When you did the battery pull, did you do it with the power on? And how long did you wait before putting the battery back?

Did you look in all folders? Also, I'm not sure, but check to see if you have to click show all in each folder.

somewhere i read that if you reset the theme settings on the bb it would restore the icons but that didn't work.

i pulled the battery with the power off waited 5 minutes, then put it back but still no change. I tried looking in all folders but im still not able to find this icon....thanks for the help though

You didn't answer the question re resetting the theme settings. What did you do exactly? Did you change the theme? If you were using a third-party theme, did you switch to a stock theme?

On the subject of hard resets, you should do a battery pull with the power on. Typically 30-60 seconds is long enough.
