Default NE Way to turn off "Charging" when connected to a PC?

Please Login to Remove!

I think I came across the way to do this at some point a while ago, but I wasn't using a laptop at this point. Now the BB is charging when I am using it as a wireless modem, and it is draining my laptop battery. How can I go about keeping the BB from charging while its connected via USB acting as a modem?

Not sure about that. All USB has some power to the device, btu after enteriing the BB software it brings the power output up for charging. I was thinking of setting it back down so it just trickled charged the BB rahter than charge it. That would not effect any data transfer.

Make sure the BlackBerry is fully charged to begin with??? Good question, not sure if there is an answer. You may need to contact RIM on that one.

Just to address this from a different angle because I had the same concern.

Instead of worrying about the drain that the BB is causing, I bought an extended battery for my Dell.
