Anyone tried downloading and using different carrier software (handheld OS) on diff model BB.
(i.e. on a Cingular Blackberry device (7200, 7100) installing T-Mobile's handheld OS) v4.0 Handheld OS that is.
If yes...noticied any significant issues or fixes that cingular handheld OS could nto fix but with T-mobile OS it was fixed?

the base OS is the same for the same version. i.e., if there's an OS fix to address volume issues, then it will be present on (for example) 4.0.2.49 with Cingular and T-Mobile. however, if there's a tower issue with the Cingular network and the RIM OS code in Nashville, TN, then it will be added to the Cingular code but not the T-Mobile code. the latter changes are the only significant differences between carriers. of course, one of these changes could potentially have an adverse reaction on your handheld, as well.
