Hi, can anyone tell me if the plastic holster that comes with the 7510 is compatable with a 7230? Its the OEM clip (ASY-05388-001)

thanks!

I hate the plastic holster, it rubs plastic and leaves black marks on the bezel and sides. The newer phones have metal covering the front but the sides still wear out.

I have also found some of the foam and cordura cases to be very nice, for the 7200 models there is one made by Danger for the sidekick that is just very nice, soft and very light yet padded, i of course added the magnets on the inside but the side that faces towards you (I added the magnets with electrical tape and since they are inside, no one can see it and by putting one at either end I can slide it either way), this way it forces me to put the BB facing me and thus protecting the screen, try this one on for size, you cant go wrong with the price: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...52949?v=glance
You can always remove the sidekick name from the front like i did. (see the picture below). It closes with Velcro so it is very secure, and the beauty of it is that if you still want to drop it in your coats pocket, it fits nicely.

Kriz and Dawg just remember that neither of these two cases:

http://www.extremepda.com/page/XPDA/...SHORZBLACK7520
or
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...52949?v=glance

come with sleeper magnets. For the Danger one you can either tape it like i did with a piece of electrical tape which no one sees since it faces you, or if you want to and are handy with a needle and thread you can sew it inside a bit of cloth since the case is so soft and "sewable". The case that Kriz pointed out you might have to split the inside and outside leather pieces and reglue them. Nothing wrong with either option but want to make sure that others that may not be aware do know about the magnet issues.

Its weird.. I have found a few places that say this holster is compatable.. I guess the best thing to do at this time is just wait and see.. Im not in love with having a huge leather / neoprine case hanging off og my belt.. While the plastic one isnt idea for keeping the BB in great condition.. it just seems like a better design.. I'll try..

I really like the Skin*Tight
http://www.speckproducts.com/smartphone.html

IMO well worth the money. Comes with its own holster and choice of color(s). Very practicle and IMO doesnt look obnoxious.

I just found the OEM plastic one for 4.99 on e-bay (add the obscene shipping charge.. and it comes to 10.99 or so.). If I hate it, i'll get something else.
