Default memory queries

Please Login to Remove!

I have had a long standing struggle with memory on my bold ( so much so I have even considered moving to a different make - shudder the thought !!)

Am interested to know
1) how much app memory does bold have - 256 or 512
2) at which point does insufficient memory really kill the spped of processing

My own situation - nothing really that extraordinary yet I only have 40 mb free memory
I get alot of emails ( hundreds a day ) and I also have two languages ( english and hebrew) so I am thinking that this combo is killing my memory

Thanx for teh responses in advance

The 9700 has 256MB
Lower than 20MB free.

I can't see email being a memory problem, unless you have the BlackBerry set to keep messages forever and you have had the email piling up for a while.

The extra languages do take up additional memory, of course, but it's hard to believe multiple installed language would be a problem.

You are not storing media (images, audio, video) in main memory?

You have not downloaded and installed a bunch of themes?

You have not installed a huge number of apps?

You do not run many apps at the same time?

If you are not doing those things, then maybe you do have messaging set to keep forever, or longer than the default 30 days, and you do get A LOT of email.

not too many apps
dont keep messages more the 15 days ( which is minimum)
only 2 preinstalled themes
i do have a problem some times that I forget to close apps
anyway I do get 2-300 mails a day and had multiple mailboxes ( gmail accts) I deleted the largest one ( which is subscribed to listservs and group mails ) and the bold 2 runs much faster - so evidently it was responsible
