Question Move from BES back to BIS, can't sync using bluetooth with desktop manager.

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8130 that was activated with BES, had to change back to BIS. Now I am not able to connect my 8130 with desktop manager using bluetooth. The computer and 8130 are connected with bluetooth, I can transfer files back and forth. In device manager, it won't find my 8130 device. Prior to the BES activation on this 8130, bluetooth was used to sync using desktop manager regularily. I am trying to restore that. Any ideas what would be wrong?

Most likely an IT Policy was placed on your BB. The default policy does not allow Bluetooth sync. You need to remove the IT Policy from the BB.

This is not accurate. When a user is configured to the BES and wishes to also run the BIS, this is not a problem! The requirement will be when you wish to synchronize to a secondary desktop with that BIS application, you must go into Calendar / Memopad / Address Book and Task Properties and turn off the Wireless Synchronization - "No". When you have completed your Synchronization you must then go back to each Properties and turn the Wireless Synchronization to - "Yes".

agree, but a wipe doesn't even remove the it policy.
so activate on the BES again and assign default policy which allows bluetooth usage, than switch to BIS
