Depends on what you like. I went and checked out the Storm 2 today and it still does not do it for me. I don't understand why they have the screen you have to click down rather than a regular touch screen. I txt way to much for that. It has Wifi and the Tour does not, but that really does not matter to me. I would much rather have a full keyboard, plus the Storm 2 has OS 5 which I am not crazy about. I don't like threaded SMS and the new way of sending txt msgs seems to take longer. Plus the absence of the general media folder. All depends on your preference I guess.

Sydman couldn't have said it better...really its ur preference...if you'll wait for the Tour 2(Speculated, and I mean specualted!!, to launch in Jan/Feb) then that's okay if u want Wifi and a trackpad. If not then u can get the Tour, and if u want Touchscreen and don't text as much, then yah, go for the Storm2. I'm not anyone to say Storm2 isn't for any "extreme" texters but physical keyboard, ahhh, there's just nothin like it...but try them out urself..or wait till one of ur buddys has it first...

Whats better, a Truck or a Van? A sports car or a pony car? A cruiser or a classic? A side folder or an OTF? Apples or Oranges?

I bought the original storm the day it came out. I only used it for a couple month before I sold it because it was a hunk of junk. I have been using the tour since it was released. The tour is a solid device. It is fast, has a great screen and feels good in your hands. I got the storm 2 the day it was released and this one is leaps and bounds better than the original. I actually type quicker on the storm 2 than I do on my tour. The only thing I am missing on my tour is the fact that on a touch screen you have no shortcut keys.....

I am completely new to using Blackberry and I decided to make the switch because of the BES real time updates with my work Lotus Notes. I still haven't bought a BB yet. I went to Verizon today to mess with the Storm 2 and I found the keyboard very cumbersome. As a drummer boy said above, the click down screen sucks. Perhaps I'm just not used to it but since my primary purpose will be to email, text and enter stuff, I don't see it workable for me.

The bigger screen sure is nice though.

The original Storm put my love affair with RIM devices on the rocks, but after playing with a Storm2 all weekend, I could trade in my Tour for it and wouldn't miss it.
