Default Bold or Javelin?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm torn between the two to replace my curve 8320. Which one is better? Bold or Javelin? I'm a t-mobile customer and javelin is coming out on Feb 11th. Can't wait... or... planning to get unlocked Bold.

the size of the javelin is smaller - like the 'old' curve.

i used both and the javelin 'feels' better for me.
lyin' better in my hand.
the best is: go to your dealer and feel both in your hands, press the keys.
write with one hand, with one thumb - left 'n' right.

after this tests, i took the javelin...

Anyone who owns a Bold now is a beta tester...

No question the Curve is superior. The Bold is large. I had one. More like a Star Trek communicator than a pda.

Curve hands down though Bold is a nice upgrade over previous devices. 3G is overrated.

Really. What's make you say that? I think the Bold is a great BlackBerry.

I want to premise this with the fact that I have not used an 8900 at all.

That being said, if you are a tmobile customer, it seems like a no brainer to me. The 8900 is superior in every relevant way for you as a Tmobile customer(other than no 3G and the processor, but it doesn't have to deal with 3G, so the processor is probably about a wash). If you are sticking with Tmobile, the 3G of the bold won't work anyway, so there isn't much in favor of going with the bold on Tmobile. The 8900 has a better camera, higher resolution screen, is smaller, etc. Thus, unless you just have the 8900 keyboard or having a smaller blackberry (I don't agree with many of the people that the bold is huge. I thought it would be but after using it, I think it feels great).

Plus, by going with the 8900 for tmobile, you get the benefit of UMA as well as the fact that you won't have to deal with any issues on running an unsupported blackberry on Tmobile's network. I'm not sure if any of the issues are major, but it is always nice to use a carrier branded device if you are sticking with that carrier.

This is just my $0.02. I'm sure others will disagree, but if I were going with Tmobile, I would definitely go with an 8900.

If you can get by without a 3G phone (and with wi-fi networks everywhere I don't need 3G): Get the Jav 8900! The Bold is bigger and heavier. Frankly, I think the Jav is the most beautiful "smart Phone" on the market today.

Jav =

Had both. 3G IS overrated. Love the Javelin. Camera far outweighs 3G. No more "World of Blurry memories" as with previous BBs.

Own both.

looks and size ->8900
3G -> 9000

just pick the one with the feature(s) you value the most. The rest is the same.
