Hi!
Curve 8320 is my first smartphone from the flip moto razr. Very happy with an upgrade from 4.2 to 4.5 until 2 days ago, always showing the 'hour glass' and took me a long time switching from apps to apps. First, I used the australia vers. It went well and I enjoyed all the features especially watching youtube. Then when I saw this thread, tried to load the rogers version (thought that it'll be a better version as I am tmobile user u.s.a). Then the problem after 3 days. So now I'm back to 4.2 ver.
When do you think will it be officially available for tmobile users?

Honestly, theres no telling. What problems are you having? Also what if any 3rd party applications do you have installed?

Whenever I use the phone, the thinking 'hour glass' came on and it's on for like a minute or two. Sometimes it just came on itself without pressing any keys. And there is a delay switching from apps to apps. That's why I loaded back the v4.2 because I don't experience that kind problem and it runs smoothly on my curve.

Most people aren't having any problems with 4.5.0.93. You may want to try that.

On the 9000, I get asked if I want to use mass storage mode. Any help would be appreciated.
I just downgraded to DM 4.2.2, still nothing. It just seems that there may be a problem with the device communicating with the PC, I set all the permissions to "Allow" on the unit, and Ive done a wipe handheld, can anyone please add any insight?

I have exactly same issue... No Upgrade option after OS installation and vendor.xml deleted.
8320 T-Mob BB with DM 4.6 installed in my PC (WVista Ultimate)
I followed all the instructions as indicated.....
Have you had any feedback/update/solution?
I guess I tried everything...

I had the upgrade option window pop up then I closed it because I wasn't ready to pull the trigger. Then when I opened DM, the upgrade option window was not there. However if you select application launcher you may find the new os there ready for download. The upgrade was a success.

Most of the time when an upgrade doesn't start or doesn't show up in application loader it means you didn't delete the vendor.xml file.

So here's a q:
I'm on .81 Rodgers and want to go to .81 T-Mo just to make it "pure" (as I have a T-Mobile device). Software doesn't seem to want to upgrade as they are probably identical as far as the apploader sees things. Deleting the vendor file doesn't make sense to me as I want that vendor release and I am with that vendor.
Do I need to downgrade then go back up to 4.5? How is this done?

Did you remove the Rogers before installing T-Mobiles? If no OS is there for DM to recognize, then a OS is installed to comp it should ask you to update. If not, back up. Then run the apploader, and restore from the backup.
Also, thanks for your tip--> T-Mobile USA Release OS 4.5 | BlackBerryNews.com
I gave you the credit.

The .81 releases will be the same. The difference will be in themes. (And if you modified the blackberry.alx file, that isn't an issue.)
There really isn't a need to install a "different" .81 release.

DM doesn't allow OS to be removed (it's greyed out). I must be missing something simple and feeling stupid on this one!

Plus, it appears the Rogers and TMo release have both the same language packs, English plus most of the European languanges...

Well several, albeit minor, things have not really been right for me on the Rodgers .81 release, including the myFaves icons. For purposes of "righteous" support from T-Mobile going forward, I'd prefer to just get a fresh install of their release.

Well, when I had the .81 release, I didn't have any problems with the MyFaves icons...after I updated them from the my.tmobile.com website. It's starting to sound like you have some other issues going on other than the OS.
But, it is possible to perform what you want. I am guessing that to "Cross-install" you would have to downgrade first, then upgrade with your prefered OS.
