Hey all,

We are having a wierd problem, and I am completely stumped...

Here is the problem:

I setup a user's blackberry like normal, added him to the server, and when I went to sync up with desktop manager, I got an error saying the server does not support wireless reconciliation.

I checked on the BES and when you click on the user, it shows:

Wireless Message Reconciliation: Disabled

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I don't know if this is a problem on the server, or on the handheld. The last two users (both never had BBs before) have gotten this error.

Any patches applied to the servers? May want to check permissions of your BES account on the Exchange servers.

We are using BES 4.1.

We haven't applied any patches to the BES, and I'm pretty sure no one has changed any exchange permissions, I can look into that.

Any other ideas? It's so wierd that the problem jus appeared out of the blue and is affecting all the new users we add...

Both the BB and the BES have options to enable/disable wireless reconciliation. check them

Also, When you sync with the blackberry manager it turns off wireless reconciliation. There really is no need to sync with the desktop if you are on a BES. It just makes things more confuzing.

Hey all,

We have exactly the same issue - however are using Domino server - have not applied any new patches, and problem occurred out of the blue.

When attempting a new Enterprise Activation, the user's wireless email reconciliation is disabled.

The BES server is set to Wireless Message Reconciliation Enabled = True
The status of the user in the BES Manager displays as:
wireless reconciliation: Disabled

The BB device does not display the option to enable Wireless Reconcile under Options/Email Reconiliation - the only option available to choose from is Delete On: xxxxx

Is there a way to force the menu option to the device? and therefore allow user to turn it on?

Previously set up users all appear with this option enabled, and are working correctly

The only success I've had with past users who have had this issue is to continuously wipe the device, remove user from BES and try re-activation (really tedious when you have to do this 8 plus times!) Rebooting server does not seem to make a difference

Any assistance greatly appreciated!!
