Hi all. I am rather new to Blackberry and have decided to make the Bold my next mobile device. Just two things that are bugging me about Blackberry in general. firstly, when you are typing an email (or sms) does the device have intelligent text and offer word subjections before the whole word is typed out (like on Sonyericsson symbian devices)?
Also if I open an application and want to switch to another, do I have to close that application first or can i make it run in the background while opening others?

Suretype BlackBerries have predictive text, fully QWERTY (as the Bold is) do not offer this.

Yes, you can run apps in the background by simply hitting the END key

Not very good to have many apps. running in the back ground though because it eats up memory..

Also when you type different words you can add them into the dictionary...

Hmmm....you can run another app by using switch application. Memory, memory and memory. In most cases I just exit via the menu==>close and move on towards the next function. If you tend to not delete texts (and receive oodles of them) their is a good chance your berry will become sluggish. Keep an eye on your file free..............try and keep it north of 10-12mb
