Default If they promised you ONE fix what would it be?

Running 141, if I was told I could request one fix I wondered what it would be? Would it be the long startup time for the camera or would it be .... Yes ....

My #1 fix request would be:

When bringing up the Contact lists why is the focus NOT in the search field? When selecting contacts from the "phone" interface clearly one wants to search for a contact - put the focus in the search field and bring up the keyboard! Dont make us fiddle with the touch screen to do it. If you dont want that then at least its just one "back" button or finger slide to close the keyboard. I'd be interested to see if anyone can offer an explanation as to why such a key UI element reacts so contrary to what I would expect or design myself.

I would have to say a huge performance boost with the accelerometer and the lock/unlock feature. I'm sick of having to wait 5+ seconds for the screen to adjust and unlock.

The accelerometer does seem slow. Can you really play reaction games with it or does it only stick when changing screen orientation?

Easy, fix the apps memory leak issue. This is getting to be a deal breaker for me. Why have a high-end smart phone when you can't use all its capable of? Ahh!

Speed ... after this last OS upgrade, mine feels slower to unlock, change orientation, et al.

A secondary one would be the camera. I can't understand why you would have a camera that after you push the the shutter button it doesn't actually take the picture for several seconds. So much for catching a moment which of course is about all I can think of to use a camera in a phone for in the first place.

The camera really is quite incredibly bad isn't it? I would prefer they didnt use the full screen for the view finder, but just a quarter or so if it speeded up the picture acquisition. An idea for a future option maybe?

Though I guess this would be an enhancement, OpenGL APIs for us programmers is one thing I really want. The hardware is there, so they should "fix" the missing API problem! :P
