Default (HttpConnection)Connector.open(url) Fails Without Exception on Nextel

Please Login to Remove!

I've got a strange situation that seems to be particular to my Nextel device. When trying to open a URL to an http server, my connection fails, and my method returns without error.

Could this be due to a policy setting? I get prompted by the OS to Allow or Deny the connection, but in either case, my debugging code indicates it goes no further than opening the url.

Any thoughts?

I'm trying to hit a public site, hosted by my company for development purposes. I'd just post the URL, but that wouldn't be wise since it is for company use only.

The site is public though, and I've used it before. I also just got a look at my companies BES/MDS policies, but there are no problems there. They look fine to me.

Nevermind. Poorly written try catch block wasn't writing to the log properly. Underlying error appears to be opening a network connection on the event thread (although I swear this same code worked on 3.x).
