Default Recently tried a Dell Streak 5

I got a NIB Dell Streak 5 from a buddy recently. It is an AT&T device so I swapped my SIM card and got started. First off I loved the look and feel of the larger (5 inch display) and the android OS was OK.

I used it for a bout 2 weeks and here are my takes on the device. I went back to my trusty old 9800 Torch yesterday.

It is more user friendly than most others I have seen. Navigating around was good. Answering calls from a locked screen sucks! It kept giving me notices of new emails but had none.

It was a battery HOG! Downloaded an app that helped a lot...still had to charge every two days even when you didn't hardly touch it. I also think it was a big data hog. NEVER on my BB have I exceeded my data limit. Shortly after using the Streak I began to get notices every two days I was approaching my limit...then went over.

It began freezing and re booting out of the blue as well.

Over all it was OK but not near as "handy" as my BB. So I will continue to use my 9800 until I find something else. I love the simple things about the berry. Calendar and reminders, email, messenger. Wish it had a larger screen. A BB the size of the Streak w/100% touch screen, email, Good calender and not the google calender crap! Better apps.

The Dell devices were pieces of junk, and the Streak is old to boot. This is a pretty crappy comparison. Even I would use a 9800 over the Streak.

Either way, this should be the BlackBerry Vs. forum.

If you want the large display, definitely get a Note II.
