Default Problem Hiding Applications

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to hide certain applications, and having done a search on the forum it seems the pressing ALT and clicking the track wheel should bring up the HIDE option. However, this does not work for all applicaitons.

For example, I want to hide the default browser as I have installed Opera. I can't see to hide it.

Also, Opera is accessible from within the Applications sub menu. How do I move it to the home screen?

I have had to install Opera as T-Mobile in the UK have stupidly locked the home page to their shite t-zones web site...i need my home page as my company page.

Thx.

It really wont let you change the home poage? Go to your comapny page and click the scroll wheel, click options, browser configuration, and then click use current to set the home page. Maybe try using a differnt carriers OS if you still cant hide/or change the page.

I could be mistaken about this, but I seem to recall having some problems hiding apps with some themes. But, the "Internet Browser" (not T-Zones) can be configured for any start page. I have mine set to start with my bookmarks. When in the Internet Browser, choose options, then "Browser Configuration". The start page certainly seems to be editable.

T-Mobile in the UK have STUPIDLY locked the browser home page setting to their shite t-zones website. You cannot change the home page setting which sucks.

How do I get hold of a different companies OS, e.g. O2 in the UK?

Go to the sticky about OS updates in the RIM Software Forum and look for the O2 link.

And with themes that have an applications sub screen, you can't move apps From/To it.

Hope this helps.
