Default Verizon's Tour 2 and AT&T's Bold 2

Please Login to Remove!

After viewing pics of the Tour 2, I have a few questions...

Why do these two look alike?

Are they the same thing, but just different names for each company?

What's the difference?

You can do a comparison on RIM's website: BlackBerry - Compare BlackBerry Smartphones and PDAs at BlackBerry.com

Unfortunately the Tour 2 isn't a part of the list of phones for comparison. I've never really looked into the Tour before and don't know too much about it, so I'll just do a comparison of the originals.

I don't really know the main differences either, just the basic technical specs.

Probably because the Tour 2 isn't out yet?

I'm aware of that He asked for a comparison of the two, you gave him the link to compare smartphones for blackberry.com.

My reply was thinking outloud about the difference with the Bold and Tour (ie the original ones)

The Tour 2, if from Verizon may be of a better quality in terms of network coverage. In reality the phones are very comparable

Default Read it was almost identical to 9700

It isn't out yet but I've read that it's almost identical to the 9700 but it will be CDMA. It's actual dimensions will be closer to the Tour (slightly larger than the 9700). CDMA phones are usually a little larger than GSM phones because of technology differences. So it's basically a 9700 in a tour form factor with a trackpad.
