The volume, in my opinion, is still not as loud as the 4.1 OS.

I succesfully upgraded to the new software. Since then, the SMS received would not reconcile with address book. A bit difficult to identify the sender of the SMS.

Any ideas on a fix?

Tried this upgrade and it failed in the middle of the restore.
Now the led indicator flashes twice (in amber) every 3 seconds.
Looks pretty dead now

The Core Applications won't be highlighted because you can't choose to not install it. As long as everything is there just check the applications you want to load and finish the loading process.

Well I kept trying and trying and trying no luck on the same PC.
So I installed on my laptop and followed the procedure and my BB is back to life.
One of the files on my PC must be corrupted as it would crash 7/8's through loading the software. I had been reduced to using an old motorola v60. I was quite crippled.
Thanks to all.

I updated my device with this OS since I had to wipe it "clean" due to a severe crash. So I wiped it with JL Cmdr and installed the new OS. All OK except for I can't configure my e mails on the device and I can't find the link to configure message services

When I go into advanced options and select message services all I get is a blank page

Any tips?

I forgot to mention that I am on BIS

Default List View in Home page

installed the new software on my 8700 and came up with two problems.
can't seem to get a list view from any of the themes, and second, when my keyboard locks and i try to unlock with the clickwheel, it goes from "unlock" to the window with "press * then "call" to unlock.

anyone have any ideas??

The unlock process is just the way it is with 4.2. you'll just have to get used to it.
