It's like expecting the Touch/iPhone screens to never have grease on them after, well, touching them. Have you SEEN what those screens look like at the Apple store?

HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, Canada’s Cellular Repair Center ß they have a great selection of trackballs. Also, i *believe* they are offering refurbs for cheap.

I always bring a hand sanitizer with me (pants; right front pocket).

When I'm somewhere dark, my trackball looks like one of those pearls!

And take note, I have too much sun out here plus it's humid.

It's in the way you take care of your stuff I guess.

I use my blackberry to view PDF instructions and photos while working on my jeep or motorcycle, i just wipe my greasy fingers on my rag and then trackball away, funny thing is that it looks brand new and not even remotely black like some of those pics show...

i think that the trackball is bound to get dirty, but for how much they cost, change it once a year/6 months etc and be done with it, or you could be like me and not really give a crap

Default The Plastic?

It could be the plastic. I had a macbook, that the plastic turned flesh colored and apple said it was the type of plastic they used. they fixed it free of charge. BB might do the same!?

It takes about 20 seconds to change out the track ball on a curve. I bought a box of 10 for $89.00 and just change them out as soon as the color starts changing.
