No...Shopblackberry told me to call RIM (which I knew was lame because RIM doesn't even make it.) I called RIM they took the info and said they'd call back in a day or two. I didn't hear back for 2 or 3 weeks. When they finally did call me back they said I needed to call shopblackberry back. They said I'd have to send the entire thing back to get it replaced. I never called. It was just too much hassle. Needless to say I was disappointed with the service from shopblackberry.

Sorry to hear that

I sold a Plantronics Discovery a few months back and the AAA charger warped from overheating. My customer had to return me the item and I exchanged it with brand new. Though my customer had to shoulder the shipping (sent me a pre-paid envelope for shipping the new unit), I think it would have been worth the trouble. With the price of this headset, you can't just leave it be.. lol.. I know I wouldn't

Hello, I just ordered a RIM 655 for my Pearl (which I also ordered the other day). Should get them both tomorrow.

On my old phone, Razr, and old BT, Moto HS500, I would charge them every night and anytime you charge the Moto BT, it disconnects (because it turns off during charge. So every morning I had to re-pair my BT to my phone. If I have the RIM 655 and the Pearl, and I charge them both every night, will I have to pair them every morning?

You won't have to re-pair (i.e. entering passcode, etc.) with the BB and the HS-655. You only need to turn the headset on and off.

Talking about charging your Pearl and Bluetooth Headset, I will be carrying the Power Station (Desktop Charging Stand) that lets you sync, charge your Pearl, extra battery and your RIM HS-655 all at the same time.

shopblackberry.com says March....When are you expecting it? Price? I'd like a better pic of it before I dive in.

I will receive it on the 15th of this month. I'll take some pictures. Looking to pricing it at between $65 to $70 shipped. I have to check now huge the box is to know how much I will shoulder the shipping for.

Sounds reasonable to me....I've been contemplating one but the little portable leather ones are working fine.

Hmm...maybe I misspoke. Maybe pairing is not what I meant. Pairing (using the passcode) was done once and never again.

This is my problem (a problem I hope I don't have with the Pearl and RIM655, but sounds like I will):

I go to sleep at night and plug my Razr and BT into their respective chargers. Because of the way my Moto BT is, it turns off whenever it gets charged. Because its turned off, it stops sending its signal to the Razr. The Razr, after about 2 minutes of not recieving a slient connection with the BT, turns off the Bluetooth search fuction of the phone (i.e. its not looking for a BT connection anymore).
So when I wake up, I have to press the power button on the BT to turn the head set on, and then I go to the Razr, go to BT connections, and then Turn on the BT Power/Finder. Then the phone and BT will be connected for use.

Have to do that every day.

Will I have the same problem with the Pearl and RIM655? I'm hoping, that at the very least, the 655 turns off during charge, but the Pearls BT function never turns off, so when I wake up in the morning, I only have to turn one thing on, and thats the 655, and then it will connect, as opposed to having the turn the 655 on AND turn the BT connection on on the Pearl.

You know what I'm saying?

When I plug in my 655 it doesn't turn off. It stays active. I can still use it while it's charging. I think you'll be happy with it. At the very most you might have to turn the headset off and on if it happens to lose connection.

I wouldn't say you can use it *while* it's charging. Charging it doesn't turn it off. I can charge for a while with it on, pull it out later and it's still on, and plug it back in and charge some more.

Can the HS655 be paired to two phones at the same time?

Is there a way to have different beeps for text and voice calls? Right now, if I get a text or get a voice call, the beeping on the HS 655 is the same

I received this last week but didn't get the chance to list this on ebay until this morning. It's item #160087082274

If interested for international shipping, go to item listing on ebay to know your shipping rate and as BBF member your item price is $69.99

This price is for a limited time and will only be available while supplies last.

I just bought my HS 655 from blueheadsets.com
I've had the ear-piece for the past week and it's been pretty good. I think paying $80.00 is far better then paying $140.00 at shopblackberry.com for the same exact thing.
The only thing that I don't like is the flimsy ear-gels and the plastic (cheap look) of the ear-piece itself, but I rather have that then the hearing aid look of so many headsets today.

You know I have the Plantronics 645 and this RIM HS-655 and they obviously don't differ at first glance. I'm going to take a few photos up close for comparison.

jetspeedz, you have indicated that your headset came in RIM box, could you show the photo? If you find the previous posts, I have showed that box that this item comes in and that is strange that a box that big would not even include a charger. Curiousity is killing this cat
