And another thing, the function to view a buddy's info does not work. It is better than the built in IM function I have on my TMO 7100t, but there are some quirks in it (but it is free). Not a bad app if you dont mind some of the programing issues (not a knock at Ramble at all). I use it everyday.
i had the same problem, but i just installed the new version and now it seems to be working alot better, i still miss a few ims, but ALOT better than b4

I don't get it....

I don't want to knock the program at all either but I had high hopes for this application. Everyone speaks so highly of it. I guess I was just under the wrong assumption that it was a fully developed application.

But no notifications? How do you use it then? I mean someone IMs you for a chat and you don't know about it until the next time you happen to remove your Blackberry from the hoslter?

I'll guess I'll wait and try it again when the notification issues are worked out.

i dont know, i wouldnt see how it matters... all i know if i was getting like 25% of my notifications b4, now i get about 75%-90%. ive really only missed a few, but i could have just not felt it, its not a strong vibe like when i get an email. kinda like the BB light app, how it "lights" up the screen, but not the full brightness like when pushing the light button

As far as notifications, the vibrate ONLY works when you actually have the program in the foreground. If you have the program running in the background it wont notify but will pop up the window. This is how it works for me at least (7100i)

I can't feel or hear the notifications unless it is in my hand, and I have it on an 8700c. I also get kicked off after several hours of idle time (i.e., the night time).

I continue to use it though because it is free.

You might need to set up the TCP settings.

That will do it after you put in in the TCP settings.

Last I checked, Ramble IM would sign you off at all other locations when you signed on using it.

Ie you can't be online with the same screenname anywhere else when you're using it.

Has this been fixed, or is it still that way?

That's not the case. I can definitely log on from multiple computers using AIM's client, Trillian, and Verichat software, or any combination thereof, including multiple instances of each...

I have a Nextel 7100i. I can't seem to connect at all. I get the error Invalid string. Can anyone help me at all. I checked my settings with the one on the sra website and they are correct. Someone please help. When I use to have a 7520 I had no problems. Let me know.

I just installed this yesterday on my 7100t and after a bunch of searching and fianlly a call to T-Mo I got it working.

As was posted either in this thread or somewhere on the site...if T-Zones is not working then it can not connect and you get the connection failed error.

Once T-Mo fixed the T-Zones issue for me it logged right in and has been working fine ever since.

It's not perfect, but better than paying for something or using up my TXT msgs.

Having no vibrations when you receive an IM renders the program useless IMHO
