You have another item on your order that we are waiting for. Your complete order should ship monday or tuesday. I just resent you the update email. Check your gmail spam filter in case it shows up there.

Thanks. Assuming you'll also get them before the official RIM store has 'em, I'll place a pre-order now.

Do you think it will have a flap or be more true to the original sleeve like design?

I have been using the 7130 version of this case for a week. I only have two complaints:

1. Muffles the speaker causing the notification sounds hard to hear unless in a quite environment.

2. When you remove the BB after an incoming message within 15 seconds the message screen wil not display and the message is marked as read. What happens is the magnet on the top of the case (where the flip latches to) effects the sleeper function.

Other than that it is a nice case.

I wonder if it has the second magnet in the back. If it does thenit you could put it facing in and when you take it out it will not do the double magnet effect for the messages.

Doesn't matter how you place the BB in the case - face in or out. The magnet on the top is strong enough to cause the sleeper function to take effect. The only way I found to beat it is to stretch the top of the case (elastic sides) far enough away from the BB as I pull it out.

RCG - since you seem to know more than anyone, the case I've enjoyed the most is the OEM case for the 7250. Open top, sleeper magnet, swivel clip, great fit. Unfortunately, 7250 is gone, 8700 is in. Will there be an open top case for the 8700 also, or is this "flip lid" it?

I second that. I too liked the 7250 OEM case w/swivel clip. Someone in the 7100 forum said his friend (a leathercrafter) took the 7130 case like I now have, removed the flip and trimmed down the front where the closure magnet is. Sounds like its similar to the old 7250 case.

Oops sorry. That's what I get for making a joke. But a perceived shortage can be a good thing. I hope you get a run on them and sell millions!

^^^ what he said. I would like a swivel clip leather case with no flap. But I also am not so excited about the OEM swivel clip - too high profile. I wish they had clips like the Naztech ones have, those are puuurfect.

Anything can be customized... If this case doesn't do it for you there are lots of alternatives.
