I think I spoke too soon. I am now getting an uncaught exception error when I try to schedule or do a restart. What should I do now?

Make sure you allow all permissions. Also if you lock your phone the schedule will not run.

All exceptions are allowed and I am still experiencing the problem. I just uninstalled the program since it wasn't doing anything for me anyway.

I decided to Google my issues and found an older thread about the problem I was having. So here's the solution: Options, Advanced, Applications, then went to Email Setup Application and went to Edit Default Permissions and ALLOWED all of them. I really don't see the connection but it worked! Successfully scheduled a pull and manually told it to do one. And I don't get the error message anymore. Weird!

Thanks for posting that - it might help others a lot since, as you say, thats very strange. Physically pulling the battery regularly is not good for the phone no matter what anyone says.

What's your opinion on slipping a thin piece of paper under the battery to make the screen click better? I have personally tried this and it does work for me. Think there's any harm to the battery or device?

Rileyrg, understand your explanation. However, the likelihood of that happening is about the same as seeing a haley's comet. It could happen, but chances are you'll never see it.
Wait! I've seen haley's comment!

I don't see how if it works for you. My only gripe is this belief that constant pulling the battery does no harm. You don't have to be Einstein to realise that it does create unnecessary wear and tear.

Can you give some real-life experiences that you may have personally seen, read, or experienced where a regular battery pull has caused damage to a BlackBerry?

I ask because I've been using them for years and have always done regular battery pulls and have yet to see an issue. I see your logic in what you say, but I would like to see some evidence of this.

Try and change your compatibility mode.

How do you change the compatibility mode on the storm 9530? I looked all over and can not find it.
