How does RIM decide who should get these PIN messages? Are they somehow keeping track of who is running which version of BBM?

Apparently. There was something in the software from the other two builds that was disrupting their server

I'm sure this is easy for RIM to do. With reliability & security their staple of business, would you not want to know which apps are running on which devices (and their versions) to isolate issues that affect the NOC?

Default BB Messenger 5.0.0.57 problem

Since I have upgraded to the latest Messenger I notice that at times I cannot reply to bb chat messages, I have to close the chat and send as a new chat after waiting a few minutes. What's that all about as this has never happened on any other version of messenger. Anyone else had this problem? Or any solutions?

I wonder if an IT policy would prevent a download push? I never received any messages on the update. Maybe it's selective to version or carrier.

Since going with .57 I've been experiencing little annoying things in messenger. I receive the same status updates daily at 3:22 A.M. even thought the contacts made the updates weeks ago. Also in group chat there is a typing lag and a posting lag. Again nothing major, just a bit annoying. the biggest issue I've noticed is in group mode ping. While on stand-by between chats I no longer receive notifications/new message pings. whenever is check my phone I'm several messages behind in the conversation. I've checked the alerts and made sure the profiles are active. Wondering if this is a phone specific issue or a .57 issue?

Default Web app issues

After downloading the new software, I am unable to surf the web. I can go to the pages themselves, but can't navigate from the pages using SUBMIT/ENTER features or by clicking the links....

I had no problems before the upgrade...what gives?
