probably not interested unless sedio can give some longer battery life without increasing size. my bury car cradle holds the 9000 bold pretty snugly and i'd hate to have to remove oversize battery every time i wanted to put the bold in the car cradle

I have the 1200aH for the Pearl, excellent 4-5day battery. Notice what they said: it'll fit the Holster (=leather, not plastic). The bigger battery door won't likely fit any of the plastic snap together cases (at least they didn't for the Pearl). They'll make new ones and maybe offer a discount if you order both, but if you already bought a hard case you'll have to make a choice. Pouches will fit the bigger battery too. Could get very 8700-like with a bigger battery, but nobody got the Bold for its size, did they?

The MS1 battery in the Bold delivers 1550mAH and builds in the electronic handshake that tells the handset not to throttle back recharge rates (a precaution they introduced as a result of earlier problems with third-party batteries - users tend to prefer a slower recharge rate to a battery catching fire or exploding).
I have a collection of battery booster products, including the removable second-battery charging case from the BlackBerry Power Station. If I need to, I can keep a Bold running at full throttle for 2 weeks without seeing an outlet.
And without a big-bootie bulging back door, my Bold can more readilt fit into holsters, cases, cradles, pods, etc.
I think there are better, safer, ultimately more convenient solutions than super-extended lard-bottom batteries.
But if you insist, take it one more step and strap on a car battery.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000)
Well, I don't mind the size of the Bold, but I certainly don't want it to get any larger.
I would be much more interested in a slightly larger capacity battery that will not require a bigger battery door. I believe you offer this for the Curve. I would be much more interested in that.

Seidio is currently shipping the standard size extended battery for Bold.
Seidioonline - Your Leading Manufacturer of Smartphone Accessories
This extended battery doesn't require a new door.
We are working on the Bold larger extended battery (with a thicker replacement door). It should be available shortly.

Will the "thicker battery door" still allow the Bold to fit the leather belt-clip pouch that is included in the AT&T box?

Most likely not. If the phone has any different case then the one provided in the box, all hip cases, skins, pouches will no longer fit.

Davis,
The Blackberry cases don't usually have a lot of room, so I doubt it will fit. We did however design the door so it is still compatible with our holster.
Thanks,
