Everything should be just fine, except for any AT&T specific items that may have been put there if the phone was previously provisioned on an AT&T account. For example, if XM Streaming Radio was installed, that will not work. Also, the Push-To-Talk facility will be useless without AT&T. The Medianet icons may not work. Medianet is just a web portal, it should install another icon once your Rogers service has been connected to your account though.

Basically, everything that you would have on a Rogers model BlackBerry should work fine.

Default Question after the unlock process...

I've got a follow up question, hopefully someone might know...

Since I have unlocked an AT&T branded 8300 running on the T-Mo service, say I want to update or change the OS of the phone. If I make changes to the OS, will it "erase" my unlock code or somehow reverse the unlock process and make the phone locked again?

Thanks!

No, SpoolinVW. Once unlocked, always unlocked.

You have a free-agent-for-life device.

I can think of one good reason for a long term customer doing this - making the used handset more "marketable" so when I upgrade to the next generation I can make more on eBay because it can be used on AT&T or T--Mobile. Just my two cents...
