Default My Take

I have read the bugs and the complaints... however i am not sure if anyone realized this.....

After i upgraded my font which was bbclarity 7 appeared to be a bigger size. I got nervous... anyway poking around, i got it back to the orginal size.

1. change font to system... exit out of options.
2. change font to a small font, pick 7.
3. chagne font again to a small font pick 7
4. change back to bbclarity 7, and it will magically appear smaller again.

Don't ask me how or why this works... but it just did on my pearl with the rogers update.

probably delete your tmobile service books and then re-register on the network?

this should intiate the whole restore process of service... probably getting you back your myfavs.... but i don't know... i don't have that service.

huh?

I'm not talking about myfavs...lol...I was just telling datafirm that when I loaded the OEM .alx file the "unlocked" themes were no longer on my phone, which is what I wanted.

It's usually located at:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Vendor.xml

Have you actually tried it? Because I have and I have a 2gig San Disk MicroSD card in my T-Mobile 8100 Pearl. I just downloaded from the link today, updated my phone, and it works. Booya.

Question The application 'Browser' cannot be loaded...

Hi Folks -

I just installed the Rogers software, added Jibi's blackberry.alx file, deleted vendor.xml - and tried to upgrade my handset and this message appears:

The application "Browser" cannot be loaded, because it requires the following applications which are not available:

net.rim.blackberry.xml

Can someone please give me some idea of how to overcome this error so I can upgrade?

Thanks,
Stac

Replacing the vendor.xml also caused errors for me as well (but I have done the process many times in the past).

sounds stupid is this a software upgrade from v4.2.0.51 to v4.2.06??

if so i have downloaded it and followed all the instructions but when i start app loader the top 2 files are greyed out. when i press next it just says finished and nothing seems to of changed??

i already have v4.2.0.51 installed on my device, with the vendor file deleted and it still silences when ringing if the trackball(pearl) is touched. where am i going wrong

you have the newest OS to date... The phone is uppose to stop ringing when you touch the trackball... If you notice it starts ringing again when you stop moving the trackball which would not happen on Tmo's OS... When the phone is in STANDBY it will not stop ringing when the trackball is touched so yes this issue is fixed.
