I downloaded the latest upgrade for my 8830 and it is now stuck on the "Waiting for device initialization" step in the Application Loader Wizard. I understand that this can take a long time, however its been over 2 hours and the status bar on the PC is moving very slowly. The handset says "Connecting to Desktop"

Does anyone know what I can do to have the phone connect to the PC? Also, since I have already passed the backup device step is my data stored on my PC?

Thank you in advance as I am phoneless until this gets resolved.

2 hours is too long. Did you try disconnecting it and see what the device does? You may need to wipe the device using JL_Cmder and start over.

I disconnected it and reset the battery. It now finished the initialization process and it is on the last step which is restoring the data.
