Ok here goes.

1. I use BIS - Blackberry Internet Service.

2. I have a gmail account attached to my BIS service and it allows me to have 1 way delete reconciliation. Ex. I delete and email on my blackberry (received through my gmail account) and it deletes from my gmail (on the web) account.

3. There are some messages I do not want deleted from my gmail account. Therefore, I would like to be able to remove a message from my Blackberry without it deleting from my gmail account.

4. I know that I could ask the Blackberry to prompt me each time (a setting in the Wireless Reconciliation) but I would rather almost have another way to remove messages from my Blackberry without deleting on my Gmail.

I don't know of another way to do that--the manner provided works perfectly.

I agree. There is no way to only delete some on the BlackBerry and not on Gmail, while others are deleted on both. You would need to turn on the prompt feature.
