Default 'Shipped' VZW BB 8830....

Stay tuned for an update, my company is a huge corporate customer of Verizon, my rep called today to say the 8830 is ready to roll and should be delivered via FedEx Monday to me... (however, he still seemed a little confused on the price structure).

Anyone else getting (or has some how gotten) this phone? Or have an insight (aside from the 8800 VZW release thread from a few weeks ago).

Yes. The Ad agency I work for was under a very very tight deadline to produce materials for this phone. Can't go into a lot of detail, but Monday looks right on target, at least for business clients and government agencies.

Yup. Verizon's 8830 will work as CDMA in the US on VZW's netowrk, and GSM across other countries only with Vodafone's service. Partners in crime.

Sprint's will be 'unlocked' per say. CDMA in the US on Sprint, and the SIM works with most providers outside of the US.
