Does anyone know if it's possible to enable numlock programatically?

One would normally enable this mode by pressing Shift + ALT.

I want to do this through the API, without the user having to press the keys.

You are aware that you can restrict a field's contents to accept numbers only, correct? Doesn't that accomplish the same thing?

Others could help you better if you said what your ultimate goal is, rather than asking how to implement a solution you already came up with.
