Hello, I just got my bb and I can get the Palm and BB to detect each other. When I try to send an address, for example, to the BB from the palm, they will not connect. I just have the basic phone service with Cingular and messaging. My BB shows the message Data connection refused and lower case gprs. I assumed that I could bluetooth transmit information without having to have internet service. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to BB Forums.

At this time it is not possible to send any data from a Palm to a 7290. The 7290 BT is limited to wireless headsets and wireless PIM synchronization to PCs.

Thanks NJ, I need to get my calendar onto my bb. Would like to just carry one device. I currently sync it with a Palm T2. I have MS Outlook at home so will try synching at work, and then synching at home with MSO, then using intellysync to get it on my BB. Wish me luck!
Hopefully sometime the state will upgrade to a compatible software (old Netscape e-mail and calendar at this time).

There is another alternative - download the latest copy of Desktop Manager (v4.2) from the RIM Support web site. There is a utility in there to copy Palm information over to a BlackBerry. It is wired and not wireless.
