Default SMS ringtone wont stop + trackball problem

Please Login to Remove!

i have T-MOBILE OS on my 8100...

the only problems that i got are:

1)message ringtone won't stop till it finishes (even if i read the message)
2)if a call comes in and i move accidentaly the trackball, then no ringtone will be heard.

i read all this thread and checked on this RODGERS OS update (4.2.0.62) and other bugs.

is it worthy to download this UPDATE from blackberry when i only want to fix those 2 problems that i have?

or

maybe someone can tell me the PROS and CONS of this UPDATE .62??

or what do you reccomend me to do?

thank you

there are lots of threads with the pros and cons of what the OS upgrades will do for you... It can only be good for you to upgrade each issue you are having is fixed in the OS up grade either to rogers or O2. If you do it thast up to you but why not take a look at both the OS upgrade threads and see for yourself if its worth it
I would upgrade and if you dont like what you get you can always go back to the OEM T-mobile OS very easly...

No, when you do an upgrade it backs everything up, then wipes your BB, then installs the new OS, then restores all of your data.

no it will back up your BB just make sure you click the option that asks if you want to back up your device. do you have your stuff stored on a card or the BB memory? DOnt worry either way it backs it up for you

O2 is the latest. They both come from RIM. So, the higher the version, the better.

Newer is better. I prefer the .64 version as the ringer issue is fixed for real in that version.
