Running BES 4.0 and Notes 6.5. Random users at random times, their blackberries will kickoff a full wireless calendar sync back to a varying month in 1970. For users with large calendars, this is quite taxing on the server and their Blackberries, it basically locks up the device till it's done. I can do searches for "1970" in the MAGT logs for each day and this happens to at least one person everyday.
I know that Blackberry devices tell time in milliseconds from a start point of January 1, 1970. Any idea how these devices get out of whack?
I've done full wipes of devices(7780's and 7290's), removed and readded users to the servers which works initially, the calendar syncs back only 30 days, but usually days or weeks later, it will do a full sync again. I've spent hours on the phone with RIM and have some Blackberries in debug mode(
lglg) waiting for the next time it happens.
