I see that .337 is an exe windows OS upgrade. Can you confirm the Mac version is still to come?
Thanks,

Re: Latest OS: 9800 OS 6.0.0.337
My BB is on a corporate BES. Can I still do this upgrade myself using my home computer? If so, will it require another Enterprise Activation once the upgrade is complete?
Thanks!
PS: Sorry, I need to update my profile - I have a Torch now and it's on HK's 1010 network...

It will require another EA but the EA will kick off automatically after the upgrade.

I am on corporate BES also. I have upgraded the operating system on my torch a couple of times and many many times on my previous Blackberry, the Bold 9000. Almost every time the enterprise activation occurred automatically afer the new OS, data and software were installed, however twice in the past two and a half years, it did not start automatically and I had to get an activation code from our IT guy. That is why I usually don't upgrade the OS unless I know that the IT guy is around.

Re: Latest OS: 9800 OS 6.0.0.337
That was the case with OS 5 and lower (as on your 9000.) You had to have a connection to your mail server in order to kick off an EA automatically after an upgrade. However, with OS6 the EA will kick off automatically even if you don't have a connection to the server with DM. If anything goes wrong during the upgrade and you have to wipe the device and start over then EA will not start automatically. Always good to do it during the week when IT is around just in case.

I have no idea about OS5 and prior, but I can confirm that the EA happened automatically and with no input from me whatsoever (which is awesome), or any need to bug IT for help (also awesome). I woke up early, initiated the update, went back to bed, and when I woke up, it was all done and there was a pop-up saying activation complete. Couldn't ask for a smoother, easier process... Props to RIM for making it so easy!

Re: Latest OS: 9800 OS 6.0.0.337
I've been running this latest OS for just over a day now and am happy to report that my battery life is finally acceptable! I was previously having the issue that a few other posters did whereby the battery ran down ridiculously fast (less than half a day with light use from full to empty), but I haven't charged it in 24 hours and the battery is still just over 50% with moderate use. This is a huge relief as I was beginning to fear that I'd have to switch back to the Bold 2 since I wouldn't have been able to accept such terrible battery life given the amount of travel I do...
Haven't really noticed any material performance changes... Things may be a bit snappier, but that could just be my imagination. I'm super happy about the improved battery life though!

Re: Latest OS: 9800 OS 6.0.0.337
I have been running this OS for about 3 weeks and sad to say I am having wierd issues and will most likely downgrade back to 246.
I have the latest version of google maps (4.5.1) before they rolled back to 4.4 and on 246 it worked flawlessly, but on 337 the "speak for directions" feature doesnt work. If you hold down the green call button, instead of the device showing "speak now" it just opens up the phone dialer.
I am also having issues with MMS and picture messages, the attachments can no longer be viewed. It shows that the attachment exists, but you cannot view it.
Lastly, I had the Bank of America Mobile app, and the login doesnt work. Even if you try to navigate directly to the web page from the browser, it wont load the page. It simply refreshes the current page.
Battery life was unaffected.
I am going to try reloading 337, but I dont hold much faith in it correcting the issues.

Re: Latest OS: 9800 OS 6.0.0.337
Has anybody figured out a way to get rid of the Demo Videos that have placed themselves onto my device since upgrading to 337?

I upgraded to 337 about 2 weeks ago and had the videos too. I went into my videos last night and they were gone. As they are instructional vids I'm wondering if they maybe delete themselves after a set period of time?

Yes, they were instructional videos, showing you how to navigate the touch screen, etc. So they disappear after a time? I'll give it another shot tonight. Thanks!

Re: Latest OS: 9800 OS 6.0.0.337
Where is a new OS version? I'm getting mighty tired of the inability to keep a functional WiFi connection, not to mention that I could use some improvements to battery life as well, and several other small details such as more accurate click detection in the browser when using the touch screen. Some links are simply impossible to click on the touchscreen.
Disappointing to see no update for so long... :(

There's a link on the first page of this thread to download it. It is not yet "official" so you can't use the OTA method.

I think dejanh was referring to something newer than .337.

Sure was Any word on any upcoming release? 426 was mentioned in the beta section, but it's not available anywhere...

Re: Latest OS: 9800 OS 6.0.0.337
has anyone else had any issues with this OS? i typically never post because i find your feedback to be the best tool to fix my problems, but i had a honker of a time with this build. bought my torch on friday and upgraded shortly after to .337, only to be plagued by battery drain issues and whatnot, until yesterday: after doing a soft reset i got the dreaded App Error 603 and had to wipe down to .246.
anyone else having any problems or is it possible i have a lemon? the battery life is still pretty horrid (approx. 12 hours with LIGHT usage before down to 20%).
