private Message Removal
Please Login to Remove!
Just had a private message to me. It was from someone calling themselves charity, could anyone tell how to delete it? I didn't reply, seems like a scam.

Re: private Message Removal
People PM members all the time with junk. Yes its spam.
Delete the message or stop PM-ing?
To stop PM-ing, go to USERCP at the top, EDIT OPTIONS, uncheck Private Messaging. Or, remain checked but then check "only admin can PM"

Re: private Message Removal
Same here. You'll need to log in to the full BBF website to delete PM's. Can't do it on mobile version.

Re: private Message Removal
By the way it is spam, and, sort of off topic (stepping up on soapbox) this is a reason not to post your PIN (now stepping off soapbox).

I have also had this sent to me, so you are not alone in it. Take the advice above and your problem will be solved.

Re: private Message Removal
vBulletin has a feature that allows a board admin to bulk-delete every sent message by a spammer. I used it on my board when a spambot sent a couple thousand lewd PMs.

Re: private Message Removal
I understood it was a member name charitywilton86.
I can't find any form or that name. Could someone post the exact user name here?

Re: private Message Removal
Brace yourself. You haven't been around. It can get creepier.
Seriously, I used to have my yahoo messenger link in my profile and my PIN in my signature, for a few years, and then the spammers seemed to have found the forum. So no more. That's why I say don't post your PIN. If you want to do it, put it in profile or signature where you can remove it. (Now down off soapbox again.)
