Hi there,
I,ve got new 9700 bold, using with 3mobile uK. The problem appeared when I'm starting google maps or google mail apps/latest versions/, the phone goes off (not every time) and requires to connect charger because battery goes completley flat even if 5 minutes ago it was full. When BB is on stanby mode or talking battery goes 2-3 days with no problem. Any ideas?

Doesn't sound right to me. GPS and apps use power but not that much. Are you sure the battery is out or could it just be the indicator saying that it is low?

Are you running any themes?

Maye take it back and see if you can get a replacement or perhaps a new battery.

no i'm not running any themes and I dont have any indication that the battery are flat. Its appears as half charged and before it goes off it doesnt shows any warnings that i'm out of power. the BB is 5 days new.

Oh, my god, it is really shocking, 5 days new BB has such serious battery issue.
Today,I found an article named"solar battery charger review" on squidoo.com, which said solar charger can extend our battery working life, if it is true, I think it is a good new for our BB fan
