Default Is it possible to give a freq used Web URL its own App Icon?

Please Login to Remove!

I use a specific site very often and I find it cumbersome to launch the browser, go to bookmarks and click to go to the URL. I was wondering If I could make a bookmarked URL its own App Icon that I could click on and go there directly?

Quicklaunch, a 3rd party app, can do that for you. You can check it out here: BlackBerry App World - QuickLaunch.

I use Iconify. While I do also have/use QuickLaunch, I sometimes prefer websites to have their own launch icon. Both will take the tedium out of retyping URL's from frequently visited sites.

Iconify Homepage - Software for BlackBerry® Devices with OS 4.3 or higher

Really dumb that RIM hasn't yet done that, as they recently have with BBM, where you can add a direct link to a contact on the home screen. iPAD/iPHONE's have this feature, as do most other smartphones...wake up RIM. You're getting hammered by the competition, the analysts, and the stock market....wake up!
